NTPC – SAIL Power Company (NSPCL ) receive two awards at the ET HR Award 2024 event organized in Hyderabad. The Platinum Award for “HR Training Excellence” and the Gold Award for CSR, recognizing the “Bedhadak Bolo” Project at NSPCL Durgapur. The awards were presented by Sh. T Nageswara Rao, Minister of Agriculture, Marketing, Co-operation, and Handlooms & Textiles, Govt. of Telangana.
The “Bedhadak Bolo” initiative started last year envisioning to empower 4,000 adolescents, primarily girls belonging to BPL families, from 25 neighboring government schools of NSPCL Durgapur as a part of our commitment to build healthier, well- informed, and empowered communities. This aimed to equip them with vital knowledge on Adolescent Reproductive Sexual Health (ARSH) issues at the right age and focused on Hygiene factors and Sanitation Awareness ,critical issues like violence against women and gender discrimination along with change in behavioral communication.
The true success of this program lies in the transformation which was witnessed amongst the adolescents when I met them, who became peer educators and change-makers in their communities.
