Sh. Vivek Kumar Devangan, CMD- REC, shared extensively about the progress and challenges associated with the roll out of 250 million Smart Meters under RDSS, an initiative of the Government of India. He was addressing the 7th Annual Conference of Power Distribution Utilities For Collaborative Growth at Kochi.
In total, 23 Cr smart meters are sanctioned so far and 8 Cr awarded. He discussed the challenges as well as solutions for effective rollout of the Smart Meter project.
