Vivek Kumar Gupta, a 1988 batch IRSE officer, has taken charge as the Managing Director of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL), overseeing India’s inaugural bullet train project. Formerly the Principal Executive Director/Gati-Shakti at the Railway Board, Gupta managed integrated operations across multiple departments. With a wealth of experience in senior roles within Central & Western Railway, including Chief Administrative Officer and Divisional Railway Manager, he brings a robust background in project coordination and construction to his new role.
