Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) inaugurated Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024 with a spirited walkathon led by Shri R. K. Tyagi, CMD, alongside senior officials including Shri G. Ravisankar, Director (Finance), Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), and Shri D. K. Madan, CVO. Employees from the Corporate Centre in Gurugram participated enthusiastically in this event. During the launch, an integrity pledge was administered to employees and senior officials, and messages from the Hon’ble President of India, Vice President, Prime Minister, Union Minister of Power, and Central Vigilance Commissioner were shared. This year’s Vigilance Awareness Week, running from October 28 to November 3, is centered around the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”. A range of activities is being held across POWERGRID’s establishments nationwide, including drawing, painting, essay, and debate competitions hosted at Govt. School, Ulhawas, and Gurugram University. As of October 15, 2024, POWERGRID and its subsidiaries boast a robust transmission infrastructure, comprising 178,975 circuit kilometers of transmission lines, 280 substations, and a transformation capacity of 540,961 MVA, with an impressive system availability of 99.81%.
