Smt. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary, Coal and Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director (Personnel), CoalIndia (CIL), met and interacted with the beneficiaries of Coal India Thalassemia Bal Seva Yojana at Kokilaben and MCGM hospitals in Mumbai.
These two hospitals are among the 11 empaneled by CIL for the curative treatment of children affected by Thalassemia & Aplastic Anemia. As a part of this initiative, CIL extends financial assistance of up to ? 10 lakh for bone marrow transplants (BMT) for affected children. The scheme began in 2017 and has entered its third phase with an outlay of ? 30 crore.
