SHIMLA. SJVN Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Thermal Private Limited (STPL), achieved a major operational milestone in the power sector by successfully completing the mandatory 72-hour trial run operation for Unit-2 (660 MW) of its 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar on August 31, 2026. Congratulating the team on this landmark achievement, Chairman & Managing Director Shri Bhupender Gupta stated that the successful completion of the continuous trial run paves the way for the immediate commercial commissioning of Unit-2, further strengthening SJVN’s generation portfolio and advancing its role as a multidimensional energy leader.
