NEW DELHI. Defence sector veteran Shailesh Vagerwal has assumed charge as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), effective July 9, 2026. An officer of the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS), Vagerwal brings nearly thirty years of expertise to the state-owned missile manufacturer. Prior to this major leadership role, he served as the Chief General Manager at Ordnance Factory Khamaria under Munitions India Limited.
