BILASPUR. The Deepka Mine of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has achieved a record coal production of 35.07 million tons as of February 28, 2026, surpassing its previous best performance in 2018-19. The mine also removed a historic 39.84 million cubic meters of overburden and recorded 80% grade confirmation, its highest quality performance so far. This achievement highlights strong teamwork and operational excellence, significantly contributing to India’s energy security and strengthening the nation’s coal sector.
