Over 200 Crore Revenue from Scrap Disposal

Scrap disposal revenue India Secretariat Reforms report January 2026

NEW DELHI. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions announced that over 200 crore rupees was earned from scrap disposal between December 2025 and January 2026, as per its January Secretariat Reforms report. The report also highlighted that more than 4,000 crore rupees were generated from scrap sales in the Swachhata campaign from 2021 to January 2026. Additionally, 0.81 lakh files were cleared last month across over 5,000 offices. The ministry emphasized that these efforts reflect the government’s commitment to transparent, efficient, and citizen-focused governance, supporting administrative excellence and responsive public services.
