As part of IESA’s Women in Energy Initiative, Ms. Sangeeta Kaushik, Former Executive Director (CP, BD & Consultancy) at NTPC Limited, addressed students and faculty at IIT Roorkee during an industry interaction titled ‘Finding Your Place in the Energy Transition: Opportunities, Pathways & Lessons from the Field’. Drawing from her extensive experience at NTPC, she highlighted how the ongoing energy transition—driven by the evolution from traditional electron generation to green molecules—is creating dynamic career avenues for engineering graduates. Emphasizing that decarbonization, electrification, energy storage, smart grids, and demand-side efficiency are the key pillars driving this shift, she underscored the critical need for skilled engineering talent to lead and execute India’s sustainable energy future.
