SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has registered excellent performance across major production units during the first two months of the current financial year 2025–26. Blast Furnace-5 ‘Durga’ produced 552027 tonnes of Hot Metal in the 1st two months to achieve its Best April-May performance, marking an impressive 23.8% growth over the Corresponding Period Last Year (CPLY). Similarly, with a production of 292371 tons of Slabs, CCM-3 clocked its Best April-May performance, reflecting an increase of 24.5% over CPLY. The Sinter Plants collectively produced 1198655 tonnes of sinter with a growth of 11.1% over the CPLY. Sinter Plant-III recorded its Best April-May performance with 629110 tonnes of sinter production. In the downstream, the Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2) rolled a total of 435234 tonnes of HR Coils to record its best April-May performance thereby registering a growth of 16.8% over the CPLY. The Sheet Shearing Line of HSM-2 rolled 45316 tonnes of HR sheets to register its best ever April-May performance.
