A key meeting was held at the office of CGM In-Charge (TA & CSR) of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), on 4th March, 2025 to discuss strategies for eliminating single-use plastic. The meeting was chaired by Mr. P K Swain, CGM In-Charge (TA & CSR) and attended by Mr. J P Mishra, GM (SW, PHS, & Airport), Dr. Deepa D Lavangare, Dy. CMO (TE-PH) representatives from the Social Welfare Department, Public Health Department and office bearers of all Community Centers. The meeting focused on reinforcing existing initiatives and implementing additional measures to curb plastic use.
During the discussion, the office bearers of the Community Centres reaffirmed their commitment to environmental sustainability and pledged to take proactive steps to further reduce plastic waste. This initiative aligns with SAIL RSP’s ongoing efforts to promote a cleaner and greener community through its CSR and public welfare initiatives. The meeting was coordinated by Mr. Rasananda Pradhan, Assistant Manager, (TE-PH).
