NEW DELHI. Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has allocated ₹1.10 crore to provide 530 assistive devices free of cost to 365 persons with disabilities (Divyangjans) in the Palakollu constituency. Implemented by the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) with support facilitated by Shri Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries, the distribution includes motorized tricycles, digital hearing aids, wheelchairs, and walking aids—aiming to boost mobility, self-reliance, and quality of life for beneficiaries identified during a prior assessment camp.
