A felicitation function was organized at the SMS-II Conference Hall of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 25th February 2026 to award 25 employees, including executives of the SMS-II Department, under the “SAIL SHABASH” scheme. The awards were presented in recognition of their exemplary contributions in the areas of production, quality, planning and safety.
Mr. M. G. Srikanth, CGM, SMS-II presided over the function and presented the Category-2 Letters of Appreciation along with mementoes to the awardees. A cross-section of employees, including all Heads of Sections and representatives from the HR Department, attended the programme.
Congratulating the awardees, the CGM appreciated the efforts of the award winners and commended their dedication and commitment. He encouraged all employees to continue demonstrating the same enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, and to lead from the front in strengthening production, maintenance and safety performance of the department.
The function was coordinated by Mr. Prashant Kumar Nayak, Senior Manager, SMS-II.
