Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), has achieved remarkable progress in employee development through the Rashtriya Karmayogi Large Scale Jan Seva Program, guided by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and Ministry of Steel (MOS).
RSP developed 53 master trainers and 1 lead trainer, who delivered one-day training sessions to over 2,085 employees. The plant accomplished 100% onboarding on the iGOT portal, with 64% of employees completing the six mandatory CBC courses.
It is noteworthy that iGOT, stands for Integrated Government Online Training, which is the comprehensive digital learning platform launched by the Government of India. It equips civil servants and frontline workers with competency-driven online training to boost their skills in governance and public service.
RSP’s efforts reflect a strong commitment to workforce excellence, building on prior HR initiatives like apprentice inductions and skill programs for contract workers.
RSP’s leadership continues to prioritize employee growth, positioning the plant as a leader in modern steel industry. These initiatives underscore RSP’s commitment to building a future-ready workforce, enhancing safety and fostering continuous learning in line with national capacity-building goals.
