Ms. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary & Nominated Authority, Ministry of Coal, in her address at the Roadshow on Opportunities in the Coal Sector & Commercial Coal Mine Auctions, highlighted that India is moving rapidly towards self-reliance in the energy sector.
She emphasized the Government’s commitment to creating a transparent and investor-friendly coal ecosystem. She stated that policy reforms have made coal block allocation more defined and transparent, Streamlined auction processes and supportive initiatives are unlocking new growth avenues, fostering competition, and ensuring a sustainable future for coal mining in India.
She also underscored the Govt’s thrust on clean coal technology and coal gasification. Urging investors and stakeholders to leverage these opportunities, she called for active participation in shaping India’s energy landscape and ensuring a level playing fields.
