New Delhi: Senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Rina Sonowal has been appointed as the new Director General of Doordarshan. A 1994-batch IIS officer, she brings extensive experience in media and public communication to the role. Her appointment is expected to further strengthen the national public broadcaster’s outreach and content initiatives.
