REC Sanctions ₹6.22 Crore for Advanced Computer Lab at Bodoland University

REC Limited has sanctioned ₹6.22 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for setting up a multidisciplinary advanced computer lab and procuring associated equipment at Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, Assam.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on 29th July 2025 between Shri Subung Basumatary, Registrar, Bodoland University, and Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR), REC Foundation. The event was also attended by Shri M. A. Ali, HoD (CSR), along with members of the REC CSR team and university officials. Bodoland University will act as the implementing agency for the project.

This initiative reflects REC’s strong commitment to supporting national education goals by enhancing digital infrastructure in under-served regions. The new lab will significantly boost the university’s digital learning capabilities and provide students with access to cutting-edge technology, thereby promoting inclusive academic growth and skill development.
