NEW DELHI. Reaffirming its commitment to last-mile healthcare delivery, REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, with Vikas Bharti Bishunpur for the deployment of three new Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) in Jharkhand. With a CSR commitment of ₹1.68 crore covering procurement and one year of operations, these MMUs will provide essential medical services to remote and underserved communities across the state. The MoA signing ceremony on October 7, 2025, was attended by Shri Ashok Bhagat, Secretary, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur; Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, REC Limited; and senior officials from both organizations. This initiative underscores REC Foundation’s dedication to improving primary healthcare access, reducing health disparities, and enhancing the well-being of marginalized populations in Jharkhand.
