NEW DELHI. Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu chaired a high-level stakeholder meeting in New Delhi to review the progress of the new terminal at Vijayawada Airport and the upcoming Greenfield Airport at Bhogapuram. The session brought together key officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and the Andhra Pradesh state government. The primary focus of the discussion was to conduct a detailed project audit and ensure that both critical infrastructure projects remain on track for timely completion.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to enhancing regional connectivity through modern and efficient airport management. The Airports Authority of India reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and security throughout the construction and operational phases. By coordinating closely with airport operators and state authorities, the Ministry aims to fast-track these developments to meet the growing aviation demands of the region and provide world-class facilities to passengers.
