KOLKATA. Shri Rajesh Pandey, (IAS 1995- W B) has assumed charge as Chairman of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) on July 23, 2026. Shri Pandey brings over 31 years of distinguished service in public administration, governance, and the energy sector to his new role. During his career, he has held several key assignments in the Government of West Bengal, including Additional Chief Secretary for MSME and Textiles, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Sports and Youth Services, and Co-operation, as well as Secretary of Consumer Affairs. With extensive operational background in power distribution, transmission, and sustainable energy development, his leadership marks a significant phase for DVC as it advances its strategic goals in power generation, grid efficiency, and sustainable regional development.
