On the occasion of Hindi Divas, Rajbhasha Pledge taking ceremonies were organised across SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). In a ceremony organised at Manthan Conference Hall, Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In charge, took the pledge along with Mr Alok Verma, ED(Mines), Dr Jayant Acharya, CMO In Charge (M&HS) and other senior officers and employees. In similar ceremonies held in different departments and units, Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR) with additional charge of ED (Projects), Mr. B Palai, CGM In-Charge (Iron) and Acting ED (Works), Mr. Anil Kumar, CGM In-Charge (MM), other CGMs, HoDs, departmental Hindi Officers and large number of employees took the Rajbhasha pledge.
The pledge was taken in Odia and Hindi to strengthen the national unity, ignite the patriotic pride and fulfil the dreams of the makers of the constitution through Rajbhasha. The pledge also emphasised on making dedicated efforts for the progress of official language in official work and setting examples in this arena.
