Public Sectors establishes 16 Eco-Parks over last 5 years to promote tourism

To enhance the green cover in and around coalfields, PSUs such as Coal India Limited (CIL), NLC India Limited (NLCIL), and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) have implemented innovative techniques alongside traditional methods of plantation.

Coal, and Lignite Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have established 16 eco-parks and mine tourism sites in and around coal mining areas over the past five years. These initiatives aim to promote environmental regeneration as well as tourism and recreational activities.

To enhance the green cover in and around coalfields, PSUs such as Coal India Limited (CIL), NLC India Limited (NLCIL), and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) have implemented innovative techniques alongside traditional methods of plantation.

These include three-tier plantations, seed ball plantations, Miyawaki plantations, High-Tech cultivation, bamboo plantations, and plantations on overburden dumps using drip irrigation, etc.
