Union Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R.K Singh, conducted a visit to the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project in Arunachal Pradesh/Assam on Nov 27, 2023.
During the visit, Shri Singh inspected the construction sites, including the dam, intake structures, and diversion tunnels in Gerukamukh, Assam.
In a later review meeting, Shri R.K Singh engaged with NHPC officials and contractors, addressing the challenges encountered in the project. Addressing NHPC officials and representatives of contractors of major works, Shri Singh instructed everyone to work with maximum zeal to complete the project as per schedule.
