NEW DELHI. Punjab National Bank (PNB) has presented a dividend cheque of Rs 2,416 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26, reflecting the public sector lender’s improved financial performance and sustained profitability. The dividend cheque was handed over to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman by PNB Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Sh. Ashok Chandra, along with the bank’s Executive Directors, at a ceremony held in New Delhi. The event was attended by Sh. Sanjay Lohiya, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance. The payout highlights PNB’s continued turnaround, driven by higher profitability, better asset quality and stronger operational performance, reinforcing the bank’s position among India’s leading public sector banks.
