PFC Celebrates 40 Glorious Years of Powering Progress at Grand Foundation Day Event

NEW DELHI. Power Finance Corporation (PFC) commemorated its 40th Foundation Day with a grand celebration on 16th July 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, and Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power).

Smt. Parminder Chopra, CMD, PFC, delivered an inspiring inaugural address, highlighting PFC’s transformative journey over the past four decades and reaffirming its commitment to nation-building through power sector financing.

The event saw the esteemed presence of Shri Shashank Misra, Director (Government Nominee), Shri Rajiv Ranjan Jha, Director (Projects), Shri Manoj Sharma, Director (Commercial), Shri Sandeep Kumar, Director (Finance), and Smt. Simmi Nakra, CVO. PFC’s Independent Directors — Shri Bhaskar Bhattacharya, Smt. Usha Sajeev Nair, and Shri Naresh Dhanrajbhai Kella — also attended, lending further significance to the celebration.

The 40th Foundation Day served as a moment of pride and reflection on PFC’s outstanding legacy and leadership in power financing. With gratitude to its employees, stakeholders, and partners, PFC acknowledged the collective contributions that have helped it emerge as India’s largest Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC).
