A Performance Enhancement Plan workshop was held for Traffic and Raw Material, Blast Furnaces, Steel Melting Shops, and PPC Departments at CPTI Conference Hall of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on 12th June, 2024. The theme of the workshop was “Achieving movement of Hot Metal from 12050 Tonne Per Day to 13,500 Tonne Per Day to meet ABP.”
Ms. Rajashree Banerjee, CGM (HR-L&D) presided over the inaugural function of the workshop. Present on the occasion were Mr. Hiralal Mohapatra, GM In-Charge (T&RM), senior officers from Bokaro Steel Plant and other senior officers of all associated Departments of RSP. In all 24 employees including executives and employees from Transport & Raw materials, Blast Furnace – I and V, SMS –I and II, Planning & Production Control took part in the workshop.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Rajesh Kumar, GM (Traffic) from Bokaro Steel Plant. Mr. Kumar shared his experience, and best practices related to raw material movement. Major issues and challenges of movement of raw materials and remedial measures were discussed in the workshop. This was followed by Syndicate discussions and presentation of action plan.
Mr. B.R. Palai, CGM (Iron) and acting ED (Works) reviewed each of the action plan and discussed the nuances. Mr. R K Patra, CGM In-Charge (Steel), Ms. Rajashree Banerjee, Mr. MNVS Prabhakar, CGM (Services), and Mr. T P Sivasankar, CGM (SMS-II) were also present in the valedictory function.
At the outset Mr. Hiralal Mohapatra, delivered the welcome address. Ms. Arnnapurna Behera, Senior Manager (HR-L&D) coordinated the programme in association with Mr. B D Patra, Senior Instructor, (HR-L&D) under the guidance of Mr. H Pati, GM (HR-L&D).
