Outstanding performer Awards presented at  SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant

In the Annual Performance Review and Award function of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) organized at the Gopabandhu Auditorium on 1st April 2025, Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge (DIC), RSP presented the Best Leadership Award, Safety Champion and Shift In-charge Awards to employees including executives for their exemplary contributions.

Outstanding performer as leader Award was presented to Mr. Ravindra Kumar Bisare, CGM (New Plate Mill) in recognition of his  demonstrated vision, resilience, commitment to excellence and the ability to motivate teams and drive innovation. The award comprised a cash amount of Rs. 10,000/- , a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.

The Safety Champion of the Year Award introduced this year for the first time was bagged by Mr. Pradip Kumar, Manager (BOM, Bolani). . It is a new initiative by DIC to foster a strong safety culture and recognize individual who have shown leadership quality in ensuring a safe workplace. The award comprised a cash amount of Rs. 10,000/- , a trophy and a certificate of appreciation.

8 executives and 6 non-executives received the Shift in-charges award for their exemplary leadership and outstanding work done towards achieving improvement in production, maintenance, services, cost, quality, industrial relations and safety.

The winners among the Non-executives were Mr. Pradeep Kumar Nayak, Senior Technician(Coke Ovens), Mr. Jhadiya Kerketta, Master Operative (Sintering Plant-I), Mr. Rama Krushna Panda, MOMT (Sintering Plant II), Mr. Dharmu Kishan, Master Technician (Refractories), Mr. Anadi Charan Sahoo, MOMT (Hot Strip Mill – 2) and Ms. Prabha K G Toppo, Master Technician (Instrumentation & Automation).

The executives who received the award were Mr. Anirudha Hikoka, Senior Manager (Coal Chemicals), Mr. Rakesh Kumar Meena, Senior Manager (RMHP), Mr. Allen Jacob John, Senior Manager (Blast Furnaces), Mr. Saket Saurabh, Manager (New Plate Mill), Mr. Chitrasen Jena, Assistant Manager (Town Engineering-Electrical), Mr. Ashok Chandra Sahu, AGM (Projects), Dr. (Ms) Aruna Mukti Minz, Dy. CMO (Medical) and Mr. Abhijeet Pratap Singh Rathore, AGM ( BOM, Bolani).

Each of the Shift In-charges received a cash award of Rs. 7,500/- along with a certificate of appreciation. Notably, these Shift In-charges who have been relentlessly spearheading the campaign to enhance production, productivity and improve techno economic parameters of the plant, have contributed immensely to make RSP one of the best performing units amongst all plants of SAIL.
