Oil India, MCD Sign MoU to Set Up CBG Plants Using Delhi’s Organic Waste

Oil India MCD MoU for CBG Plants in Delhi

New Delhi: Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for the establishment of Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plants that will process segregated organic municipal solid waste generated in the national capital. The initiative aims to promote sustainable waste management, generate clean energy and support the circular economy. The MoU was signed in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi. Senior officials from the Delhi Government, MCD and Oil India also attended the signing ceremony.
