NTPC North Karanpura successfully synchronized Unit #3 at 02:43 hours on March 19, 2025, marking a significant step toward the full operationalization of the plant. This success emphasises NTPC’s dedication to guarantee energy security for the country and helps to increase the capacity of power generating in the area.
The NTPC North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (NKSTPP) has a total planned capacity of 1,980 MW, comprising three units of 660 MW each. With two units already operational, the synchronization of Unit #3 brings NTPC closer to achieving its full generation potential.
