Hydrogen’s burning characteristics are distinct from LPG or PNG, featuring an almost invisible flame, a temperature range of 1200C-1500C, and unique propagation speed. Unlike traditional fuels, hydrogen cannot be premixed with air before ignition due to its explosive nature. Our innovative hydrogen burner, integrated into a modified cookstove, not only transforms the way we cook but also contributes to a cleaner environment by emitting pure water vapor with zero carboneous elements.
At the momentous occasion, Shri Arne Ballantine, CEO, Ohmium, and Shri Shaswattam, ED, NETRA, and other senior officials, emphasized the versatility of green hydrogen as a clean energy source, supporting diverse applications for environmental and sustainability initiatives.
NTPC has further demonstrated its commitment to sustainability through the successful commissioning of a blending project incorporating green hydrogen with PNG at Kawas. Additionally, a green hydrogen mobility project in Leh is all set for commissioning, alongside an ongoing initiative to establish green hydrogen-based microgrids in remote locations for the Indian Army.
