NTPC Bongaigaon achieved a significant milestone by winning three awards at the 1st Tusker National Awards, organized by the Indo-Continental Trade and Entrepreneurship Promotion Council in Kozhikode, Kerala. The 750 MW power station earned Gold for its short film on migratory birds and the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) Mentorship Program 2024. Additionally, it received a Silver award for Excellence in Corporate Communication. Shri Om Narayan Singh, AGM (C&M), accepted the awards, later presented to Shri Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project, who credited the achievement to the dedicated teamwork and excellence of the entire NTPC Bongaigaon team.
Following the recognition, the awards were presented to Shri Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, by Shri Asutosh Biswas, GM (Operation), Shri A M Chaudhury, AGM (C&I), and Shri A K Singh, AGM (FM), in the presence of Heads of Departments (HODs) and senior executives including Shri Onkar Nath, AGM (HR), Shri Roshan Dungdung, DGM (HR), and Shri Madhurjya S Lahkar, Sr. Manager (HR-Corporate Communication), along with other employees executives of the station.
Expressing his gratitude, Shri Akhilesh Singh congratulated the HR Department and all employees for their outstanding contribution and concerted teamwork, which led to this remarkable achievement. He emphasized that these awards are a reflection to NTPC Bongaigaon’s commitment to excellence, community development, and innovative corporate communication and stakeholder practices.
