NTPC Bongaigaon successfully conducted a Special Vendor Development Program focusing on SC-ST and women entrepreneurs, in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME under the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH). This initiative aimed to empower these entrepreneurs by creating awareness about NTPC’s vendor registration, e-tendering processes, and procurement procedures. The program was attended by Shri Debabrata Kar, General Manager (O&M), who emphasized NTPC’s commitment to inclusive development and encouraged local entrepreneurship. He motivated participants to actively engage with NTPC’s procurement platforms for sustainable growth.
The event, organized by the Contracts and Materials Department under Shri Om Narayan Singh, AGM (C&M), saw enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs, officials from MSME-DI Guwahati, and representatives from the National SC-ST Hub. Keynotes were delivered by Shri N.K.D. Piku, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Guwahati, along with other officials, who provided valuable insights on procurement policies and technical requirements. A highlight of the program was the active engagement from 40 vendors, who raised questions regarding vendor registration and technical documentation. The NTPC team, alongside NSSH officials, addressed these queries, making the session informative and solution-driven, and encouraging participants to explore collaborative business opportunities with NTPC and other CPSEs.
