NTPC Bongaigaon and IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery formalized a Mutual Aid Agreement (MAA) on 6th February 2024, enhancing collaboration for emergency response. The agreement, signed by Shri Nayan Kumar Barua of IOCL and Shri K.C. Muraleedharan of NTPC, aims to minimize the impact of industrial emergencies and natural calamities. Both organizations commit to sharing resources, personnel, and expertise, promoting disaster awareness, and ensuring coordinated responses. The five-year agreement allows for renewal and periodic review. Shri Karunakar Das emphasized its significance in bolstering regional emergency preparedness.
