NTPC and CEA organized a national workshop on “Standardization of Technical Specification for Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs)” on 6-7 June 2024 at PMI, Noida. Shri MAKP Singh, Member (Hydro), CEA, and Shri K S Sundaram, Director (Projects), NTPC, inaugurated the event with Shri S N Tripathi, RED (Hydro). Over 160 delegates, including representatives from CPSUs, State PSUs, and major companies, attended. NTPC is pursuing 8900MW of PSPs, with the 1000MW Upper Bhavani PSP recently allocated by Tamil Nadu.
