Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) celebrated its 39th Foundation Day in New Delhi, reflecting on its journey of advancing renewable energy financing over the past 38 years. During the event, Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Pradip Kumar Das, highlighted IREDA’s accomplishments, including achieving ‘Navratna’ status, a significant increase in Profit After Tax to ₹1,197 crore for the first nine months of FY 2024-25, and a 36% growth in the loan book to ₹68,960 crore. He also pointed out the AAA ratings from domestic agencies and a BBB- international rating from S&P Global, alongside the recent approval for a ₹5,000 crore fundraising via QIP to boost green financing initiatives.
Looking towards the future, Shri Das emphasized IREDA’s global ambitions, including the establishment of its wholly owned subsidiary, IREDA Global Green Energy Finance IFSC Limited, in GIFT City, Gujarat, and the intention to create a retail subsidiary for renewable energy. He expressed gratitude to key stakeholders, including Union Ministers and senior ministry officials, for their ongoing support and guidance.
