Kuku TV Awards 2025 celebrates India’s microdrama talent

Mumbai, 8 January 2026 – Kuku TV, India’s mobile-first storytelling platform showcasing microdramas, hosted the Kuku TV Awards 2025 on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, at The Nines, Juhu, Mumbai.

This awards ceremony was dedicated exclusively to the microdrama industry in India. The inaugural edition turned into a star-studded evening, bringing together actors, creators, and industry personalities from India’s growing microdrama ecosystem.

Kuku TV Awards 2025 celebrates India’s microdrama talentThe event saw the presence of Kuku’s Founder and Kuku TV’s Leadership Team, along with several well-known faces from television and digital entertainment. Actors,creators, and producers who walked the red carpet included Anup Soni, Sudhanshu Pandey, Avika Gor, Zakir Hussain, Ankur Nayyar, Vipul Gupta, Anurag Vyas, Rakesh Paul, and Himani Sahani, among others. The evening also featured a stand-up comedy performance by Anirban Dasgupta and musical performances alongside the award presentations.

The Kuku TV Awards 2025 celebrated a storytelling format that has already seen global adoption and is now scaling significantly in the country. The awards spanned a total of 19 categories, with winners selected based on a combination of audience engagement metrics and platform-led voting.

Among the key honours, Best Microdrama was won by My Homeless Billionaire Husband, which has garnered over 200 million views on Kuku TV’s app. Abhyuday Pandey received the Best Actor award, while Puja Bharati Sharma was named Best Actress. Nikhil Kulshrestha won Best Director, Ananya Patnayak was awarded Best Writer, and Santosh Bajantre received the award for Best Cinematography.

Character-driven categories also featured prominently, with Anurag Vyas winning Best Billionaire Character, Himani Sahani receiving Best Vamp Character, Divyaa Agarwal being named Most Fashionable Character, Dinesh Kaushik winning Best Senior Character, and Paakhi Singh being awarded Best Child Character.

A highlight of the evening was that several awards were presented by Kuku TV’s users themselves, reflecting the platform’s customer-first approach and the close connection between creators and audiences.
