HUDCO (Housing and Urban Development Corporation) has reached a major milestone by receiving the Certificate of Registration as a Non-Banking Financial Company – Infrastructure Finance Company (NBFC-IFC) from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
This new status empowers HUDCO to finance a wider range of infrastructure projects beyond its traditional focus on housing and urban development. Key sectors identified under the Harmonized List of Infrastructure Sub-sectors, including affordable housing, roads, highways, transport, and urban mobility, are now within HUDCO’s financial reach, aligning with India’s ambitious infrastructure goals.
