In a significant stride towards strengthening urban governance, the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), under Mission Karmayogi, partnered with the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies (DULB), Haryana, to organize a one-day Capacity Building Workshop for the state’s Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) at the Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Gurugram. Over 100 senior officials, including Municipal Council Presidents, Commissioners, and representatives from DULB and HIPA, participated in the event, where they were introduced to the GOT Karmayogi platform designed to promote continuous learning and citizen-centric governance. The discussions emphasized embedding core principles of effective service delivery and citizen engagement, aligning with the broader vision of Mission Karmayogi.
The workshop was attended by key dignitaries including Gurugram’s Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Rajrani Malhotra, Dr. Alka Mittal of CBC, and senior officials from DULB and municipal authorities. This initiative marks a vital step in empowering Haryana’s urban leadership with the skills necessary to realize the vision of ViksitBharat 2047, fostering a more efficient and responsive urban governance ecosystem.
