The government has refuted a video circulating on social media, that the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is promoting an investment scheme promising 5000 rupees per hour and claiming that it can generate 1 crore rupees in six months.
The Fact check unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) informed that the circulating video is fake and AI generated. It also said that neither the Finance Minister nor the Government has announced or endorsed any such scheme.
PIB has urged citizens to be aware of such fake news and advised them to always verify information through official sources.
