GAIL (India) Limited has taken a significant step towards strengthening grassroots healthcare by supporting Project Sakhi Satchel, a CSR initiative aimed at recognizing and empowering ASHA workers—the unsung heroes of rural health services. In a grand event held on 19th May 2025 at the UIT Auditorium in Balaji Nagar, Kota, over 1200 ASHA workers were felicitated with specially curated utility kits comprising high-quality water bottles and lunch boxes, symbolizing both appreciation and practical support for their daily efforts.
The occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Speaker of the Lok Sabha and Member of Parliament from Kota, Shri Om Birla Ji, who emphasized the critical role of community health workers in nation-building. Senior GAIL officials including Shri Anoop Gupta, Executive Director (CSR & HR), and Shri Anil Kumar Jha, Chief General Manager, along with state government representatives, were present to mark the occasion. The event reaffirmed GAIL’s commitment to inclusive development by recognizing the pivotal role of women in public service and reinforcing the vision of a healthier, stronger India.
