Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club Marks Annual Day with Vibrant Celebrations

Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, NTPC Bongaigaon, celebrated its Annual Day along with Bal Bhawan at the township premises with a vibrant cultural showcase themed “Festival of the Season.” More than a celebration, the event underscored the Club’s expanding role in community engagement, social awareness, and creative empowerment within the NTPC ecosystem.

Graced by Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, as Chief Guest, and attended by Smt. Kasturi Maitra, President of the Club, Shri Debabrata Kar, GM (O&M), Smt. Soumya Kar, Vice President of the Club, and other dignitaries, the event featured interactive games, a traditional welcome, and captivating performances including a tribute to Lata Mangeshkar, a charming “Krishna Lila,” and a presentation on “Pancha Tatwa” depicting the five elements of nature.

Smt. Kasturi Maitra, in her welcome address, emphasized the Club’s inclusive vision and commitment to harmony, learning, and wellness, while Treasurer Smt. Amrita Singh presented the Annual Report highlighting the year’s welfare and outreach initiatives. A major highlight was the “Festival of the Season” segment, creatively portraying India’s seasonal diversity through visuals and performances. In his keynote, Shri Maitra praised the Club for its creativity and growing social impact, acknowledging it as a catalyst for positive change in the township and nearby communities through women’s empowerment, education, health awareness, and outreach—urging continued collaboration among employees and families to sustain this momentum.
