GAIL (India) Limited and AM Green B.V. (AMG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance sustainable energy solutions in India. The partnership focuses on the long-term supply of 350 KTA carbon dioxide (CO2) from GAIL’s gas plants for eMethanol production, promoting a circular economy. GAIL also has the option to invest in the project. Additionally, both companies will explore setting up 2.5 GW of solar/wind hybrid renewable projects. Shri Rajeev Singhal of GAIL emphasized the commitment to reducing carbon emissions, while AMG’s Mahesh Kolli highlighted the partnership’s role in decarbonizing sectors like shipping, steel, and cement.
