According to the data so far, the total corona infected patients in the country has crossed 7000, while the total number of deaths in India is more than 200. During the lockdown, the poor and the destitute are facing a food crisis. To deal with this, Elan Group is providing free ration to the daily wage laborers of various villages in East Champaran. The ration comprised essential items such as two kinds of pulses, flour, rice, tea, salt, red chilies, soap, sugar, detergent, and toothpaste. Social distancing was duly followed in distribution with white circles being earmarked at an adequate distance for each people.
Masks and sanitizers were also distributed to the needy and the organization encouraging them to wear mask and use sanitizers to prevent the virus. The spokesperson of Elan group said that people’s lives are our priority at this time. We should do everything we can.
At the same time, Ramashray Prasad, who has benefited from this campaign of Elan Group, said that “there is no work being available due to the lockdown. In such a situation, running a family is a challenge. In such a situation, Elan group came forward to help us. Adequate ration has been provided to us by the organization.”
