ECL Reaffirms Commitment to CSR and Employee Welfare

Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) reinforced its dedication to employee welfare and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by offering 50 new job appointments during a ceremony held on 4th July 2025 at Sankalp Hall, ECL Headquarters.

Of these, 38 appointments were made under the Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) Policy, while 12 were granted under the Dependent Employment Scheme as per the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA). This initiative continues ECL’s longstanding support for families of deceased employees, helping ease their hardships and demonstrating the company’s enduring commitment to employee well-being.

The ceremony was attended by key officials including Director (Finance) Md. Anzar Alam, Director (Technical/Operations) Shri Niladri Roy, Chief Vigilance Officer Smt. Deepti Patel, Director (HR) Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, and Director (Technical/P&P) Shri Girish Gopinathan Nair. The dignitaries encouraged the new appointees to serve with dedication and uphold integrity in their roles.
