NEW DELHI. Dr. Lata Suresh, Head–KRC at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, addressed the 12th Edition of the International Conference on Cyberlaw, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity held recently in New Delhi. Speaking on “Ancient Knowledge and Modern Cyber Technology,” Dr. Suresh emphasized how India’s philosophical traditions can meaningfully shape the ethical evolution of artificial intelligence. She highlighted the relevance of concepts such as Chit-Shakti, Prakriti and Purusha, the Yoga Sutras, Yajna, and Dharma in designing human-aligned, responsible, and psychologically aware AI systems. Her talk connected these civilizational frameworks with emerging domains like AGI, quantum cognition, emotional AI, and human-machine symbiosis, urging stakeholders to reflect on the critical question: “Who will we become because of AI?”
Dr. Suresh also underscored India’s strategic role in steering ethical and inclusive global AI development. She proposed a roadmap integrating public policy, education, industry collaboration, digital well-being, and ancient knowledge systems to cultivate what she termed “Enlightened Intelligence.” In addition to her address, she chaired Technical Session 29, facilitating discussions on emerging technologies and ethical frameworks. The conference, which drew over 1,500 delegates from five continents across 37 technical sessions, provided a vibrant platform for global experts to explore the future of cyber governance. Dr. Suresh expressed gratitude to Dr. Pavan Duggal for the opportunity and noted that the event fostered meaningful exchanges and potential collaborations across the cyber law and AI ecosystem.
