DMRC reviews the safety norms at 26 elevated stations after the unusual incident happened at Gokulpuri

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is conducting safety reviews at 26 elevated stations following an incident in Gokulpuri. Inspections include vital components like drains, parapets, and structures, with immediate repairs for any issues. Routine maintenance is ongoing due to weather-related wear and tear. Precautionary measures involve securing and replacing drain pipes with durable uPVC pipes. Unfortunately, during repairs at Subhash Nagar, a drain pipe portion fell on February 14, 2024, injuring a passerby who is recovering with no major injuries.
