DMRC Launches Special Drive to prevent unlawful entry of male passengers in Ladies Coaches

Delhi Metro has launched a special drive on all lines to prevent the unlawful entry of male passengers into ladies’ coaches, starting from August 27, 2024. Ten flying squads, comprising CISF, Delhi Metro Rail Police, and DMRC personnel, are conducting surprise checks throughout the day to ensure women’s safety.

On the first day, 108 male passengers were counseled and removed from the ladies’ coach, while 32 were fined Rs. 250 each under the Delhi Metro (O&M) Act. Offenders refusing to comply are deboarded and handed over to the police. Similar drives have been conducted previously to enhance women’s safety in the Metro.
