The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation launched ‘Sashakt Bachpan’, a four-day cricket festival promoting sportsmanship among children. Dr. Shalini Singh, President of DMRC Ladies Welfare Organisation, inaugurated the event alongside senior officials. With participation from diverse backgrounds and NGOs, the tournament aims to foster teamwork and showcase talent. A special exhibition match for women highlighted DMRC’s commitment to gender equality.
Approximately 150 young talents will showcase their cricketing skills over the four-day tournament. Under the aegis of Metro Museum, DMRC tied up with a number of NGOs across the NCR to bring the children together.
DMRC, in collaboration with Delhi Metro Museum, has earlier organised various other events to provide enriching experiences for children, ranging from storytelling programs to informative visits and nukkad nataks. These initiatives provide an enriching experience to the stakeholders promoting inclusivity and social development.
