BILASPUR. Coal India Limited Director (HR), Dr. Vinay Ranjan, addressed the valedictory session of CIMECON-2026, a three-day medical conference organized by its subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) at its headquarters in Bilaspur.
Highlighting Coal India’s strong medical network of nearly 1,200 doctors across its hospitals, Dr. Ranjan emphasized the importance of healthcare in maintaining organizational productivity. He called for greater integration of digital health systems, data analytics, and technology-driven services to create a transparent, efficient, and future-ready healthcare infrastructure. During his visit, Dr. Ranjan also interacted with HR professionals, stressing the effective use of AI and data analytics in decision-making. He inspected the Indira Vihar Cricket Ground and the SECL headquarters canteen, interacting with players and employees, and reaffirmed that employee welfare remains a top priority.
Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy addressed the inaugural session, highlighting the crucial role of doctors in supporting a healthy and productive workforce. He described healthcare professionals as a “protective shield” for Coal India’s employees, especially given the high-risk nature of the coal mining industry.
The conference featured workshops, scientific sessions, and technical presentations, with participation from over 250 doctors and medical experts from reputed institutions and Coal India subsidiaries.
